Flameworking 201 Series

If you have taken Flameworking 101 here and/or are certified on the torch in our flameroom, it's time to up your game!

Ed Hastings will be teaching Flameworking 201: Beyond the Mandrel!

Session 1: Dangly Things! Learn to work off-mandrel to create multiple types of bails, which bridges into learning pendants and icicles.

Session 2: Implosions (Marbles)--Bring a design to life inside the glass!

Session 3: Small Sculptures. Start with something simple like a fish or dolphin, then explore what the glass can do!

Session 4: Using a blow pipe to create hollows!

Plan to bring or buy your own glass; you'll need at least four rods (about 1/4lb) of clear or transparent glass, and some opal colors to play with. You can work with 104 or 33COE, and we'll make sure there are scraps of colors available to purchase so you won't have to break the bank.  (Bring your own glasses and tools if you have them!)

A 50% deposit is required to hold your space in this class (Refundable if you have to cancel at least 7 days before the class.) Min 4, Max 6 students
