Flameworking 201 Series

If you have taken Flameworking 101 here and/or are certified on the torch in our flameroom, it's time to up your game!

Ed Hastings will be teaching Flameworking 201: Beyond the Mandrel!

Saturdays, June 21-July 12

10am-12:30

Session 1: Dangly Things! Learn to work off-mandrel to create multiple types of bails, which bridges into learning pendants and icicles.

Session 2: Implosions (Marbles)--Bring a design to life inside the glass!

Session 3: Small Sculptures. Start with something simple like a fish or dolphin, then explore what the glass can do!

Session 4: Using a blow pipe to create hollows.

Plan to bring or buy your own glass; you'll need at least four rods (about 1/4lb) of clear or transparent glass, and some opal colors to play with.  (Bring your own glasses and tools if you have them!)

A 50% deposit is required to hold your space in this class (Refundable if you have to cancel at least 7 days before the class.)
