Cutting glass canes:
Glass canes are easy to cut with glass nippers (make sure the blade is sharp). Putting the cane squarely between the nipper blades will help you get a straighter cut. Typically cut off about an 1/8th of an inch for using in your work, but you may want your pieces thicker depending on what you are making.
