Stained Glass Lead Came Class - with Reilly Burgess

This class is for INTERMEDIATE Tiffany method artists who are BEGINNERS at leaded glass. You are expected to have experience cutting glass and fitting it to a pattern. Please stop by to pick up full-size patterns and plan to have your glass cut before the 1st class.
Instructor Reilly Burgess will show you how to pull, cut and manipulate lead came in the traditional technique of stained glass construction. Great for framing larger pieces, or for those interested in the aesthetics of leaded work and/or restoration. Each student will complete the project shown on the front over the course of 4 sessions.
Stained Glass Express will provide:
2 copies of full-sized Patterns
Use of our soldering irons and other tools
Rubber gloves, patina, putty, whiting powder, and homasote board for pinning
Cubby storage space for the duration of the class
You Will Bring or Buy:
glass, cut according to pattern instructions (your glass choices are your own-go classic, go crazy! The center can be cut from glass or use a 35 mm faceted gem)
60/40 Solder
Flux
lead cutter, fid, tacks, and lead came (The store will stay open late and Reilly will help you shop during the first class-you'll have a 20% discount!)
Your own soldering iron if you prefer it
one N95 mask (optional)
Copies of Pattern can be picked up after deposit has been received.
