90 COE Tomato Red Opal is a vibrant, fusible opalescent art glass. This bright red color is a "striker," meaning it initially appears partly transparent and may have an orange or pale hue until it is kiln-fired, which brings out its final intense, opaque tomato-red color.
Because it contains sulfur and selenium, it is reactive and can create beautiful dark halos when paired with glasses containing copper, lead, or silver.
