Who should take this class? Fusers, lampworkers, stained glass, Boro and Beginners
You will learn the proper use of the torch, gas, oxygen, what the regulators are for, flame and heat temperatures, how they control the glass and so much more. You will explore the potential of molten glass for more than beads and learn the differences in COE and what it actually means. Reactive glass-use it as a design element. How to reshape flat glass into basic components like stringers, noodles and twisted cane. Learn what can be done with your left over 90 and 96 COE to enhance your fused pieces.
When you have completed this course, you may receive a certificate to safely use our torch room on your own.
$125 per person, plus consumables. You will also receive a store discount for the length of time you are in the class, for purchas of glass and consumables.
To register for a class, a 50% deposit is required to hold your spot unless you are a veteran or qualify for our Teach the Teacher program. Deposits are refundable or transferable to another class up to 7 days before the class starts. Payment in Full is required on the first day of class.
