Stained Glass Express is a stained glass paradise. We are located in Manchester, Maine with a retail store, The Glass Academy, The Studio and a warehouse. When a first time stained glass visitor walks through the door, the sound "Ohhhhh" is what we often hear.
Even though we are well stocked, we are still small enough to give outstanding personal service.
We are abundantly stocked with stained glass from Armstong, FireBox, Kokomo, Spectrum, Wissmach, Uroboros, Youghiogheny and an amazing selection of clear textures. We have a great supply of Bullseye, Wissmach 90, Wissmach 96 and Spectrum & Uroboros System 96. We have a wonderful collection of dichroic glass in both 90 and 96 COE by Austin Thin Film (DichroMagic), Coatings by Sandberg (CBS) and Profusion.
We stock tools and supplies for the stained glass foil and lead methods, fusing, mosaics, flameworking (beadmaking) and etching. We have Inland, Glastar, Gryphon, Morton, Gemini, Olympic, Bethlehem Burner and many other brands.
We have a staff that is skilled, friendly and love what they do.

Stained Glass Express is a family owned business started in July of 1988, as a division of Oakes & Parkhurst Glass (O&P Glass). In 1988, the store was located at 10 Railroad Square in Waterville, Maine. In November of 2014 the Waterville location was closed and the store moved to 966 Western Avenue in Manchester, Maine to gain more space and be able to operate on a single level.
The store is comprised of a retail store that sells stained glass and supplies as well as glass gifts. It houses The Glass Academy at Stained Glass Express, with two spacious classrooms where classes and events are held. One of the classrooms is equipped with bench burners and there is a kiln room with four kilns. There is a large warehouse/studio space. We hire artists to do commission work for residential applications and churches. We also do repairs and restorations of stained glass. Because our children still run the O&P Glass store, we have access to manpower and trucks that can handle large projects that most studios cannot deal with. When we moved to the new location in Manchester, we added a gallery with Maine glass artists’ work. We also added an antiquities section.
Stained Glass Express has a distribution to deliver custom cut cabinet glass to full-service glass shops all over New England. This is done through a partnership with Radiance by SIGCO.
In 2005, our first on line store was launched. It has been upgraded several times since then and has remained in a growth mode, making up more and more of the sales percentage of the store. We are service oriented and more often than not get the orders out the day we get them.
