Our Staff

	Janet Parkhurst Co-owner Janet's byline on her name tag says "it's all about the glass" and it has been all about the glass since 1978 when Janet and Richard's first glass shop was opened in Winslow, Maine. Janet left her day job teaching and school administration to work in the glass business full time in 1982. Stained Glass Express was opened in 1988. The online store was opened in 2005. Janet and Richard have three grown children - Glenn, Tobias and Soo.
	Richard Parkhurst Co-owner Richard is an owner of Stained Glass Express. He is a true entrepreneur and a visionary. Richard has been in the glass industry since 1978 when he and his partner Allen Oakes opened Oakes & Parkhurst Glass. There is not much he doesn't know about glass at this point, and is often called upon for his knowledge and expertise.
	Wanda Shorty Teacher/Customer Service Representative Wanda has been matching customers to glass since 1989. We call her (and her name tag confirms it) "Merchandise Mava". She is a stained glass teacher so there is not a problem asking her for some help or advice. She does most of the displays at Stained Glass Express so you could say she is also responsible for inspiration. Wanda has three grown sons - Luke, Zac and Matt.
	Liz Bailey Glass Academy Director Liz joined our team at the end of May 2022. Liz comes to us from 12 years of working with kindergarteners, looking forward to exercising her creative side at Stained Glass Express. She thinks it's important that you know that Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
	Olin Moody Shipper/Inventory Management Olin joined our team at Stained Glass Express in February 2023. Look for Olin singing and playing guitar in the Augusta/Gardiner area.
	Hannah Dickey Customer Service Representative Hannah joined our team at Stained Glass Express in October 2023. She was a total beginner but has learned a bunch in the few months that she's been with us. She feels more comfortable with stained glass, but she really enjoys fusing. She loves to hike and work on her fixer-upper house with her husband, Christian, in her free time.
	Lisa Cooper Customer Service Representative Lisa joined our team at Stained Glass Express in September 2023.
